Our Books
In order to meet the information needs of the Commission and interested individuals and organizations, the Tripura Commission for Women started purchasing books from its very inception for giving shape to a Library for the Commission in near future. But due to the lack of infrastructural facilities like space, librarian and other required manpower, this stream of the Commission is yet to be materialized. However, during the year under report the Commission purchased books from Book-fair and from publishers of Delhi and Kolkata. The Commission had a collection of nearly 2000 books during the year under report covering different issues relating to women’s advancement and other disciplines. Besides, the collection included important reference books like Encyclopedias, special volumes on North Eastern States, books on laws and obviously books on women’s studies. The Commission purchased books worth of Rs. 17000.00 during the year under report.
