On May 4, 2007, the TCW in alliance with the Department Social Welfare and Social Education, Govt. of Tripura organized a workshop on Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection) of Children Act, 2000 and Rules 2002, Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 & Rules 2007, Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005 & Rules 2006 and Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 & Rules 2003 in the Secretariat Conference Hall-2. Recommendations of the Workshop were as follows:
Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection) Act 2000 and Rules 2002

District Level Child Welfare Committee for all the four districts is required to be constituted immediately for proper implementation of the Act.

Adoption of children from the Homes run by the Social Welfare and Social Education Department Govt. of Tripura is recommended.

Awareness Generation among the people related to implementation on Juvenile Justice Act (Care and Protection of Children should be given stress.

For proper functioning of Child Welfare Committees required infrastructure should be
provided.

Persuasion for providing fund by the Central Government for implementation of the
J. J. Acts, 2002 is necessary.
